The mission at Friendship is to provide the community with a high-quality, Christian early childhood program that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical development in young children. Friendship is a happy place that uses play as the primary means to promote growth and develop skills, while fostering discovery, friendships and enjoyment in the preschool experience. We welcome families of all faiths.

Programs include:

Children's Corner: This program is for children 24 months - 3 years old. Children must be 2 by September 1st to enroll in this class. It is a 2-day per week class that meets on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 – 11:30 am. Children enrolled in Children’s Corner do not need to be potty-trained. The focus of this class is to develop social skills, as well as language skills, while children play in a lively group setting.

Friendship I: This program is for young 3-year-old children, typically with birthdays between March 1st and September 1st, that are fully potty-trained.  This class meets 2 days per week at the beginning of the year – Tuesday/Thursday morning from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Students will stay for lunch as part of the school day. Beginning in January, students in FriendShip I will also attend on Friday mornings from 9:00 – 11:30 am (no lunch on Fridays).  In this class, children experience learning through both group and individual play. They begin to learn the routines of a school day and explore concepts through themed units.

Friendship Il: This program is for older 3-year-old and younger 4-year-old children, who are fully potty-trained children.  The class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Students will stay for lunch as part of the school day.  Children learn to play and work cooperatively in small and large groups while learning about science, cooking, math, and language arts.  Daily circle time includes a lesson, music, stories, the calendar and weather.  Letters of the alphabet are introduced with each new weekly theme.

Pre-K: This program is for 4- and 5-year-old children. Children who attend this program must be 4 by June 1st. The class meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Students stay for lunch as part of the school day. In this class, children learn through meaningful play, self-expression, and exploration of their environment. Language and literacy development, as well as math concepts are taught through weekly thematic units, such as Friendship, Oceans, Health, and Space. Children in this program also explore famous artists and their work each month.
