Geoff Barnes grew up in Dallas, Texas, and lives in Sewickley. He has a Bachelors from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters from the University of Oregon. Geoff taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design and Robert Morris University from 1997 to 2005, when he left teaching to practice design full-time. He currently works at Google. Geoff has four children: three QVHS graduates, and a daughter who will likely graduate with the class of 2034.
Marna Blackmer is a proud Quaker Valley graduate. She and her husband live in Edgeworth and have three children. Marna attended Slippery Rock University where she earned a degree in political science and attended law school at Capital University. Marna is a former trial attorney and is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Kati Doebler lives in Osborne after growing up in New Jersey. She and her husband Matt have two children, Heidi and Libby. Kati has a degree in English from Miami University and a master’s of science in new media and information systems from the London School of Economics. She works full-time as a software engineering product manager. In addition to serving on the Quaker Valley School Board, Kati also represents the District on the Sewickley Public Library board of trustees.
Gianni Floro is a graduate of Quaker Valley High School and has been serving as a school board director since 2001. Raised in Sewickley, Gianni is an attorney whose practice is focused in the area of civil litigation. He also offers strategic campaign consulting for political campaigns throughout Western Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and a master’s in environmental sciences and management along with his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University. Gianni resides in Bell Acres with his wife Lisa and their two children.
Daniela Sauro Helkowski grew up and Sewickley and is a QVHS graduate. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and an elementary education degree from Slippery Rock University. Daniela and her husband Dan have three children: Gabriella, Juliana, and Maria. She is a business partner at Insurance on Walnut. Ms. Helkowski serves as the School Board representative on the Parkway West Career and Technology Center Board.
Jonathan Kuzma grew up in Leet Township and is a proud member of Quaker Valley's class of 2001. He has a bachelor of arts degree in economics and history from the College of William and Mary. Since graduating, Jonathan moved to Leetsdale, where he currently resides. He is a commercial real estate appraiser for Newmark Knight Frank. In addition to serving on the Quaker Valley School Board, he represents the district on the Sewickley Public Library of the Quaker Valley School District board and is the chairman of the municipal authority of the Borough of Leetsdale.
Stratton Nash is a proud Quaker Valley graduate. He grew up in Sewickley and currently resides there with his wife and son. Stratton attended Point Park University and works professionally as a corporate marketing specialist.
Chesney Soderstrom grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. She went on to graduate school to obtain a Master's degree in School Psychology. Chesney worked for several years as a School Psychologist for Tulsa Public Schools before moving to Sewickley in 2010. She and her husband, Clint, are the proud parents of four students who attend Quaker Valley Schools.
Jeff Watters grew up in Connecticut and now lives in Edgeworth with his wife Suzanne, their three children, and two dogs. Jeff has an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and a master's of business administration from the University of Maryland. Jeff has spent his entire career in the consumer packaged goods industry and recently served as president and CEO of Ainsworth Pet Nutrition. Jeff serves as treasurer of the board.
