QVHS Students to participate in Work & Lunch Sessions and Job Shadowing Opportunities; Professional Volunteers Needed
In an effort to increase student awareness of the opportunities in the world of work and how to connect with them, QVHS is hosting a series of conversations called Work & Lunch. Professionals from various career areas are invited to engage in conversation
with students about what they do and what pathways led them there. Professionals do not need to generate a presentation, but can simply come, share their stories, and answer student questions. Students have the opportunity to sign up for Work & Lunch sessions based on their career interests and curiosities. Students in the junior class are also participating in a Job Shadow experience. If you are interested in signing up to share your experiences during a Work & Lunch Session or hosting a student for a job shadow, please complete this form

AIU (Allegheny Intermediate Unit) Apprenticeship openings for 2018-19 School Year
Students can apply for a variety of career related apprenticeships through the AIU’s Apprenticeship Program.  If accepted, students attend workshops on their own, during the school day.  Students will be excused from school, but transportation is not provided.  Click the PDF below for a listing of available programs.  For more information, see the AIU’s website. See Mrs. Amy Keller with questions.

Career Connected Learning

We encourage students to extend their learning beyond the classroom through community-based experiential opportunities. Click below for current internship, apprenticeship, and career exploration offerings.  Information will be posted and updated regularly. All opportunities will be grouped by Career Pathway to help students identify those that may be of most interest to them.  Check back often!  Contact Mrs. Amy Keller, Career Education Coordinator, for more information. Career Connect Learning Opportunities
