ParentSquare

Quaker Valley School District now uses ParentSquare for school communication. Parents/guardians, staff members, middle and high school students, and others will receive important updates and notices via text and email notifications. Account holders are able to modify their notification settings upon creating a login and password. 

ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents/guardians to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app, which is available for download both in the App Store and on Google Play. 

ParentSquare will replace Swift K12, which was our previous mass notification system and will provide many features to streamline communications within the District. ParentSquare will not replace PowerSchool, Schoology, or email communication. 

You should have received an activation email and/or text message for your ParentSquare account. Please take a few minutes to activate your account and to verify your contact information. Once you receive the activation email, please utilize these instructions: 

  • Open the invitation email or text. Click Activate your account or tap the link to activate your account.
  • Create a Password for your ParentSquare account and click Register.
  • Click Confirm for your phone number and/or email. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number.
  • Enter the verification code to confirm.
  • Confirm your child(ren) by clicking Confirm. Use Not My Child if a child listed is not associated with your account.
  • Select “Yes, This is Me” when you have confirmed your contact information and child(ren) associated with your account.
Upon logging in, if there is a misspelled name, incorrect email or phone number, or a child is missing on your account, please reach out to the secretary at the building where your child attends school: 

Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification 
  • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm 
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
  • Sign forms & permission slips, sign up to volunteer and more all from your desktop or mobile device
  • Add items to your calendar
  • RSVP for events

ParentSquare Notifications
Feeling overwhelmed by ParentSquare notifications? You are able to customize the delivery of non-essential notifications through your ParentSquare account. First, if you have not already, create your ParentSquare account. Then follow the steps outlined in the video below to customize those settings through the website or your mobile app. In these menus, you can choose to have instant notifications, digested notifications (delivered once per day), or turn them off completely. Changing your notification settings will NOT impact the way emergency notifications and bus alerts are delivered to you.
