Online Safety
Follow these rules to help you stay safe online:
1.  Always ask your parents or a trusted adult before joining a website or app, or signing up for anything online.
2.  Never give personal information, such as your full name, address, phone number, school name and passwords, or send pictures of yourself to anyone online.
3.  Never meet in person with anyone you talk to online. If meeting with a friend, bring your parents or a trusted adult with you.  Never go alone.
4. Tell your parents or a trusted adult it something you see or hear online makes you uncomfortable or scares you.
5. Don't share your passwords or login codes with anyone except your parents.

Bullying
Bullying is hurting someone on the inside or outside over and over again. Examples of cyberbullying include sending hurtful texts or instant messages, posting embarrassing photos or video on social media, and spreading mean rumors online or with cell phones. If someone is bullying you, use the STOP, WALK and TALK rule.

  • Stop talking to the bullying.
  • Walk away from them.
  • Talk to your parents, teachers, or a trusted adult and tell them what happened.

Cyberbullying
Bullying that takes place online is called cyberbullying. This may include sending mean email messages, pictures or texts, or exluding or threatening someone. If someone is cyberbullying you, use the STOP rule:

  • STOP using the computer, cell phone, or device.
  • TELL your parents or a trusted adult what happened.
  • Get the OK by an adult before going back online or returning to the website or app where it happened.
  • PLAY with other kids who don't take part in cyberbullying.
