Two QVHS Students Selected as Student Representatives for the School Board

The Quaker Valley School Board has two new student representatives for the 2019-2020 school year. Congratulations to juniors Jillian Umstead and Tarun Venkatasamy. They were selected through an interview process and will begin training this spring. Jillian is a member of student council and chairs the spirit committee. She loves theater and is a part of the high school musical. She also performs in two musicals during the summer at Performing Arts Camp. Jillian says she wanted to be a student rep to the board because she loves doing things for the school and thinks it is a great way to see how the school board works.

Tarun is also a member of student council and looks forward to honing his leadership skills as a student rep to the board. His favorite subjects are math and science. He is also a member of the tennis and cross country teams. Tarun says he wanted to be a student rep for the board to help get important ideas and information from the student body to the school board.
