Quaker Valley Senior Cecilia Holte Named 2026 School Board Graduating Senior

Quaker Valley High School senior Ceci Holte has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Graduating Senior Award.

The award is presented to a 12th-grade student selected by faculty and staff who demonstrates a strong commitment to public service, community spirit, and the pursuit of educational excellence.

Ceci is known as a dynamic and driven student who leads with responsibility, compassion, and integrity. As the oldest of four, she has developed a strong sense of accountability and a deep commitment to supporting others; these qualities make her a role model at home, at school, and among her peers.

At QVHS, Ceci has been an active and impactful member of QV Voice, helping promote mental health awareness and positive school culture. She has contributed to initiatives including the Grief Summit, Gratitude Garden, schoolwide awareness campaigns, and student publications.

Ceci is also a dancer, an editor for The Quaker Quill and a special event coordinator for QV’s Mini-THON, where she helps organize fundraising events to support pediatric cancer patients. Outside of school, she works part time at a nearby stable caring for horses and at the Clay Café. As a student delegate for the QV Global Scholars Program, Ceci has attended multiple conferences while maintaining an impressive GPA.

Ceci approaches every opportunity with curiosity, perseverance, and optimism. Her sincerity and kindness are felt throughout the QVHS community, where she has made a lasting impact.

In the fall, Ceci will attend Skidmore College to study international affairs. Congratulations, Ceci!
