Congratulations to the Quaker Valley High School Class of 2026, who will graduate on Monday, June 1 at Chuck Knox Stadium, weather permitting.
  • Seniors participating in commencement must arrive at the school and report to the auditorium between 6:00-6:10 p.m. to check in with the senior sponsors, Mrs. Garavaglia and Mr. Sebastian. Students must be dropped off or come with a parent or guardian (students may not drive and park separately -- see parking information below).
  • In the event of inclement weather, QVSD has set the following rain dates: Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 3, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. District administration will notify seniors and families of any ceremony cancellations and rescheduled dates using the ParentSquare alert system, text messaging, and posting on the QVSD website.

Parking:
  • Given the shortage of parking at QVHS/Chuck Knox Stadium, we will limit parking to only families of seniors. Each senior will receive one parking pass wiht their cap and gown. Students with dual mailing addresses will receive two parking passes.
  • Students—including graduating seniors and members of the QVHS band and choir—may not drive or park at QVHS on the evening of the ceremony. They must be dropped off or arrive with their families.
  • On the evening of commencement, families must present their parking pass to QVSD staff for entry into the school parking lot.
  • QVSD Staff will direct families to parking spaces, including those who need accessible/disability parking (the senior's parking pass will be used for this spot)
  • The District will provide all other guests with a shuttle from Edgeworth Elementary School.
  • For the safety of graduates processing from the school to the stadium, the parking lot will close to all guests at 6:45 p.m.
District Shuttle Service from Edgeworth Elementary School:
  • For the commencement ceremony, shuttle #1 will depart from Edgeworth at 6:00 and 6:20; shuttle #2 will depart from Edgeworth at 6:10 and 6:25.
  • Each shuttle will pick up guests from the Edgeworth Elementary parking lot bus loop and transport them to the QVHS stadium lower lot.
  • Return trips from the QVHS stadium lower lot to Edgeworth Elementary parking lot will immediately begin after commencement ends, with multiple trips if necessary.
Health and Safety:
  • The concession stand will not be open for the event, so guests may want to bring water.
  • Restrooms will be available for use.
  • A health tent will be accessible for those requiring medical assistance.
  • An ambulance will be on standby in the event of emergencies.

Reminder: QVHS is a Tobacco- and Smoke-Free Campus

According to Pennsylvania law, smoking and all tobacco or nicotine products are strictly prohibited on school property. This includes cigars, cigarettes, vapes, and any other nicotine delivery devices. We ask all graduates and guests to follow this law to maintain a safe and respectful environment, including after the commencement ceremony.

Green Graduation -- Reusing Commencement Regalia

Several years ago, QVHS graduate Ryan Steinfurth and his sister, Kate Steinfurth, a current junior, introduced an initiative to make future QVHS graduations more environmentally friendly by recycling graduation regalia.

Once again, the Steinfurth family will collect graduation gowns and stoles for reuse. Graduates may donate their items by placing them in collection bins located near the stadium exits after the ceremony or by dropping them off in the QVHS main office during the summer.

Donations are optional. Graduates should keep their cap and tassel, and those with younger siblings may wish to retain their gown and stole for future use.
