Two Quaker Valley teams, representing Edgeworth and Osborne Elementary Schools, competed in the Science Bowl held at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History on Friday, February 6, 2026. Quaker Valley students completed preliminary in-class competitions to qualify to attend the Science Bowl. The following teams represented QV:
- Edgeworth Elementary fifth graders: Henry Johnson, Logan Kobert, Mila Rasmussen, and Freddy Borstelmann
- Osborne Elementary fifth graders: Maretta Bahr, Michael Minn, Adelaide Norton, and Nathan Picarsic
Each team completed three different challenges, @DinosOfInstagram in the Hall of Dinosaurs exhibit; Amazing Arthropods in the Foster Overlook, and All About Geology and Gems in the Hall of Geology and Hall of Minerals and Gems. Teams also had the opportunity to explore additional exhibits in the museum galleries.
Congratulations to the Edgeworth team, who earned a first place finish at the event, and the Osborne team, who earned a third place finish at the event. Way to go Quaker Valley!
