2024 Kindergarten Registration

Per School Board Policy 201 Admission of Students, a child should be 5 (five) years of age by September 1 to enroll in kindergarten. For a child who will be 5 (five) years of age by October 1, please read School Board Policy 201 for early admission criteria. Please see the Kindergarten Information page for additional information.

To complete the registration forms, please follow all instructions on our District Registration page.

Kindergarten registration is best completed on a laptop or desktop computer. By completing the Registration form, we will have your contact information for future kindergarten notifications.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you have the required documents available in a digital format PRIOR to completing the registration forms.  If you do not have the documents available at the time you are completing the registration, select “Save for Later” and return to the registration process when you have digital copies. If you have questions about digital documents, please contact [email protected] for assistance.  Keep in mind, the entire process should be completed within 5 days of the email you receive from PowerSchool. This includes:

  • Child’s Proof of Age: Copy of Birth Certificate or passport
  • Child’s Proof of Immunization: Physician’s office Immunization records. Please review our Health Services information. You will need to submit proof of immunization with your registration. Kindergarten students are also required to have a dental screening as well as a physical.
    • 4 doses of tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday) Usually given as DTP or DTaP or DT or Td
    • 4 doses of polio (4th dose on or after 4th birthday and at least 6 months after previous dose given). A 4th dose not necessary if the 3rd dose was administered at age 4 years or older and at least 6 months after the previous dose
    • 2 doses of measles, mumps, rubella (Usually given as MMR)
    • 3 doses of hepatitis B
    • 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) or evidence of immunity in the form of a written statement from physician/designee indicating a month and a year of disease or serologic proof of immunity.
    • All Children in grades K-12 need the following immunizations:
  • Two Proofs of Residency: All proof must be dated within 30 days of submission. Expired documents are not acceptable.
    • A deed, lease, or tax bill ~ If you are new to the District and do not yet have these documents, a sales agreement will be accepted at the time of registration
    • A utility bill, current vehicle registration, current PA driver’s license, or Dept. of Transportation identification card.

Kindergarten Roundup

Registering for Kindergarten is separate from Kindergarten Roundup (KRU). Kindergarten Roundup will be held at Edgeworth Elementary on February 20 and 21, 2024. Parents and their incoming kindergarten student(s) are invited to attend Kindergarten Roundup. Parents can select a time slot using THIS LINK. Kindergarten Roundup is an opportunity for your child to meet the kindergarten teachers.
