2023 Graduating Senior Award

Each year, the Quaker Valley School Board gives out an award to an outstanding senior. This year Graham Thompson received the award for his dedication to learning, commitment to giving back to the community, and personifying the values held by Quaker Valley.

Graham’s teachers describe Graham as respectful, diligent, and collaborative. He is the type of student that will advocate for his learning and create a positive environment for everyone in his classroom.

Beyond his academic achievements, Graham has participated in student athletics, serves as a volunteer for kids before and after school programs, and holds part-time employment. His volunteer efforts for a local food pantry helped raise over $10,000.

Graham gives his time to Key Club, QVHS Peer Jury, Student Council, the Tennis Team, several soccer teams, his church, and has spent many hours in an environmental science internship where he has monitored the health of the Little Sewickley Creek Watershed.

Graham is a student who exemplifies our District's mission statement. His unyielding dedication, strong moral compass, intrinsic motivation, and brilliance of mind are only part of what Graham brings to the table.  No matter what the task, Graham is diligent in his duties and industrious in his endeavors. He is truly a remarkable young man and one of Quaker Valley’s finest students and role models.

Graham will be attending the University of Pittsburgh in the fall.
