QVHS student Sean Gilliland has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Nearly 16,000 Semifinalists were named in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These students have the chance to advance in the competition and can compete to earn more than $31 million in scholarships. Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.
To qualify as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, juniors take the PSAT exam, which serves as an initial screen of the program entrants. Congratulations, Sean!
