The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921. For more information, please visit the National Honor Society website.

Induction into the Quaker Valley High School National Honor Society takes place in the fall. Juniors and seniors who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for membership:
  • 3.5+ cumulative GPA
  • A minimum aggregate of 20 service hours throughout high school
  • A positive attendance record
  • No disciplinary record
The application, admission, and induction process occurs every fall during the first trimester. A panel of teachers will convene to review applications and determine if the student meets the standards set by the National Honor Society and Quaker Valley High School.

2023-2024 School Year Applications

In early September of the 2023-24 school year, the QV chapter of NHS will notify students and families of students' eligibility to apply for membership. Eligible students will receive details about the application process at that time. Students will be notified of their admission status by the first week of October. Any inquiries should be directed to NHS sponsor Ms. Kayla Marasia at [email protected].
