Our annual Principal Playdates at Edgeworth and Osborne Elementaries are scheduled to be held on Friday, August 8 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Join your building principal, teachers, and staff for a chance to check out your playground and meet new friends!

We would like to invite you and your child to attend Kindergarten Orientation. Each child is invited for one half-day session. More information will be sent home through ParentSquare about orientation once building assignments are finalized. Families must attend the orientation hosted at their assigned school.
Through Kindergarten Orientation all Kindergarten students will be able to learn about their new school, meet new friends, ride a bus, and visit the cafeteria, as well as a kindergarten classroom.
- Edgeworth Kindergarten Orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
 - Osborne Kindergarten Orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Your child’s day will include a story and craft, recess, tour of the school, and a short ride on a school bus. There is no charge for the program, but please note there will be no bus transportation to and/or from the program.
Students with a last name starting with A-K will attend the morning session. Students with last names starting with L-Z will attend the afternoon session. The cafeteria will be providing a free lunch for all incoming Kindergarten students attending between these sessions. Parents may also purchase a lunch for $4.90. Please bring checks or cash only. Checks can be made payable to QV Café. It is important for all children and adults to be registered for this event in advance so we can ensure all meals are prepared.
While your child is attending orientation, all caregivers will stay and attend a separate informational session with the teachers. This session will provide information about the Kindergarten curriculum and tips and games to use with your child throughout the duration of the Kindergarten year. This is our first step in building a strong parent-teacher relationship.

The first day of school will be an amended schedule for kindergarten students. Parents and students will report to school at the designated time and participate in a 90-minute classroom orientation session where parents will meet with their child's kindergarten teacher who will review information related to the kindergarten program and the classroom. Parents are required to bring their kindergarten child to school the first day, Wednesday, August 20 at the time designated in future communications. Transportation will not be provided for kindergarten students on the first day of school.
Transportation will begin for kindergarten students on Thursday, August 21, with morning pick-up route at the designated time. All students will stay for a full day, with dismissal at 3:40 p.m.
