QVHS Career Coordinator Honored

Congratulations to Mrs. Amy Keller, QVHS Career Education Coordinator, who has been honored as a K-12 Champion by ACT. Mrs. Keller was nominated by QVHS Principal, Mrs. Deborah Riccobelli, and QVHS Academic Specialist, Dr. Linda Conlon.
When asked, what it means to be college and career ready, Mrs. Keller said, "Student agency is key to college and career readiness. The K-12 experience must provide students with opportunities that develop self-awareness and self-direction. Activities that build the capacity and propensity for young people to take purposeful initiative of personal significance. Experiential learning is essential. When students engage in experiential learning, they cultivate portable skills like problem-solving, resilience, and reflection that are imperative to the development of agency and future success in our ever-changing global economy
