Quaker Valley Names New Boys and Girls Lacrosse Head Coaches

Quaker Valley School District is proud to announce the appointment of two new leaders for its lacrosse programs: Ryan Riesmeyer as the new boys varsity head coach and Kristin Hric as the new girls varsity head coach. Both will begin their tenure with the 2026 spring season, bringing with them a wealth of coaching experience and a commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field.

Boys Lacrosse Program Leadership

Ryan Riesmeyer comes to Quaker Valley with more than 10 years of coaching experience, most recently serving as the Frederick High School Boys Lacrosse Head Coach in Maryland. His career includes a wealth of additional coaching experience including Apex Lacrosse, Saint Vincent College, Chatham University, Hood College, and as a board member of Spires Lacrosse.

“We are excited to welcome Ryan to Quaker Valley,” said Mike Mastroianni, Quaker Valley Athletic Director. “He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a true passion for the sport, and we are eager to see the impact he will have on our boys lacrosse program.”

“As a team, this year’s focus will be on the process of being great,” said Riesmeyer. “If we commit ourselves to the small details, trust in each other, and show up every day ready to get better, the results will follow. Greatness is not an accident, it’s built one practice, one rep, and one day at a time.”

In addition to coaching, Riesmeyer was hired this year as the Quaker Valley Middle School Computer Science and Technology teacher.

“I would like to sincerely thank the Quaker Valley Administration for entrusting me with the opportunity to lead the Quaker Valley boys’ lacrosse program,” Riesmeyer continued. “I am truly honored to join a school community with such a strong tradition of excellence, both academically and athletically. Their confidence in me means a great deal, and I am excited to get started.”

Girls Lacrosse Program Leadership

On the girls’ side, Kristin Hric brings nearly 10 years of experience, most recently leading serving as the Assistant Coach for the Quaker Valley Girls Lacrosse team.

“I’m honored and excited to be named the new girls head lacrosse coach for QV,” said Hric. “My goal is to help our athletes grow not only as players but also as people—building confidence, teamwork, and resilience along the way. I can’t wait to get started and to continue building a culture of hard work, pride, and passion for the game.”

“Kristin’s vision for our girls lacrosse program is fantastic,” Mastroianni said. “Her emphasis on skill development, character, and competitiveness aligns perfectly with the values of Quaker Valley athletics.”

She has also contributed significantly to the sport as a team member on Virginia Tech’s Division 1 team, a coach with the Next Level Lacrosse Club in Bethesda, Maryland, and with the Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club where she coached until 2020.

Looking Ahead

Quaker Valley is confident both coaches will guide the lacrosse programs into an exciting new era. With fresh leadership, strong community support, and talented athletes, the future is bright for Quaker Valley lacrosse.
