Quaker Valley High School Life Skills Teacher Mr. Jason Brindza, received quite the surprise Thursday when he logged into a Zoom meeting. It turns out the meeting was to announce Mr. Brindza has been selected as a 2021 Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star Teacher!
The Zoom call included the President of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Travis Williams, the Pirate Parrot, representatives from the AIU, PNC, The Grable Foundation, and Mr. Brindza’s colleagues and students.
To celebrate his All-Star teacher status, Mr. Brindza will receive a $1,000 grant for his classroom, a $100 gift card, a custom Pirates jersey, and an invitation to a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game.
