The Osborne Fall Festival will be held in the afternoon on Friday, October 31 and will include a costume parade and a fall party for each classroom/grade-level. Specific times for our Fall Festival events are listed below:
- Kindergarten Parties: 1:10-2:10 PM
- Fall Festival Costume Parade: 2:15-2:35 PM
- Grades 1-5 Parties: 2:35-3:25 PM
During the Fall Festival, students in each grade will have the opportunity to participate in the Fall Festival Costume Parade, which will take place on the track around the field (weather permitting). When it comes to selecting appropriate costumes, please be mindful of the following:
- Costumes may not include any look-a-like or pretend weapons such as guns, knives, swords, hatchets, etc.
- Masks may not be worn during the school day or party; your child must be able to see clearly through the mask to wear it as part of the parade.
- Students may wear their costume or parts of their costume to school so long as they do not disrupt the learning environment. If your child’s costume includes an item(s) that can’t be worn during the school day, they can bring it with them to be put on prior to the party or it can be dropped off at school prior to 10 AM.
- School staff reserves the right to ask children to remove parts of a costume that become a distraction to learning.
Families are invited to view the Fall Festival Costume Parade. Should the weather be uncooperative, we will cancel the parade and send an update to Osborne families through Schoology. The Osborne HSA will be coordinating volunteers for this event.
We would like to remind everyone that latex products such as latex balloons and latex masks are prohibited in Quaker Valley Schools.
