During Spring Break 2020, a daring group of Quakers with an appetite for excitement and exploration are traveling to Boston, Massachusetts, for the adventure of a lifetime. This five-day trip is designed to stimulate both the mind and body with various physical and mental challenges throughout the heart of New England. With an emphasis in the STEM subjects, the trip will offer a chance for students to participate in a robotics and coding program at MIT, to utilize problem-solving skills in two Escape Rooms, and to build/test model boats as they sail into engineering at MIT. They will also go behind the scenes in visits to the legendary Fenway Park (STEM), the Franklin Park Zoo (STEM), Boston Museum of Science (STEM), and the New England Aquarium Squid Academy (STEM). The trip also includes a guided walking tour on the historic Freedom Trail where Paul Revere rode in 1775 and a haunted nighttime tour through the heart of the Puritan town that was at the epicenter of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692.
