Science Olympiad is a team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Students practice outside of the school day throughout the school year.
Fifteen middle school students have been selected to complete at the regional Science Olympiad event at California University of PA on March 6, 2019, although all participants can attend the event. At regionals, the student teams can qualify to participate in the state competition held at Juniata College.
