When Should I Stay Home?

 
 
 
Group A
  • Fever of 100.4 or higher
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • New onset of loss of smell
  • New onset of loss of taste
 
Group B
  • Low-grade Fever
  • Chills
  • Shivering with fever
  • Muscle aches/cramps
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue
  • Congestion or runny nose
 
*Note: Families should adhere to the Quaker Valley Health Services Brochure (available here) and keep students home from school if they are experiencing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea (as the lone symptom) until those symptoms resolve. It is recommended to contact a physician for further guidance if these symptoms arise.
Students and staff should stay home and test if:
  • Have one or more symptoms in group A
  • Have two or more symptoms in group B
  • Are taking medication for the purpose of reducing fever (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, etc.)
