Quaker Valley is thrilled to share that Mrs. Brooke Baker, Assistant Director of Finance and Operations, has been named the next Director of Finance and Operations for the District. Baker transition to the role beginning May 1, 2024. Her appointment will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Mr. Scott Antoline, whose last day will be June 28, 2024.
“Brooke Baker has been an integral part of our team since joining us in July 2022. We are thrilled to see her advance her career and take the lead as the new Director of Finance and Operations,” said superintendent Dr. Tammy A. Andreyko. “She is a natural fit as she has built a vast knowledge of Quaker Valley’s finances. We look forward to seeing her begin her new role as she and Mr. Antoline transition their responsibilities this spring.”
Together with Antoline, Baker successfully oversaw the Finance and Operations Department including transportation, accounts payable, payroll, and more. She has also frequently participated in Board meetings when presenting audit findings and the annual operating budget.
“I do want to say thank you to the Board for this opportunity along with Dr. Andreyko and Dr. Surloff for their support and recommendation,” said Baker at the Board meeting on Tuesday, February 20. “I’m looking forward to the new position, and I’m hoping the school finance experience I’ve had over the last eight years will come in handy in my new position. I’m looking forward to it.”
Baker joined the District in July 2022 as the Assistant Director of Finance and Operations after serving as the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator at Hopewell Area School District for five years and the Business Administrator for one year.
