Quaker Valley High School Global Scholars Students Compete in History Bowl and Geography Bee

Four Global Scholars students recently competed in the History Bowl and Geography Bee through the International Academic Competitions - US Division (IAC). IAC oversees competitions in more than 50 countries. 
 
Mia Fusco, Cecilia Montagnese, Brahm Gianiodis, and Will Watson competed in the History Bowl as a team. 
 
Brahm Gianiodis, who placed 1st, and Will Watson, who placed 5th, scored high enough in the Geography Bee to be qualified for both the national and international competitions. They plan to attend the national competition in the spring. 
 
Global Scholars is a credential QVHS students may earn by completing required coursework. These students have the opportunity to:
  • explore global issues in-depth and hear from experts in the field
  • discuss and debate global issues with students in the United States and from other countries
  • actively participate in global simulations, seminars, book clubs, to name a few
  • hear of scholarship opportunities to travel abroad
  • learn of global careers and the needed skills
