QV Text-A-Tip  412-465-3107

The Text-A-Tip hotline is a new way for students to communicate with law enforcement utilizing technology that students are comfortable with. Students can confidentially send a text to the school resource officer about concerns they may have for their safety, the safety of others, or express a concern about a student and their well-being. Quaker Valley School District's QV Text-A-Tip reporting system is intended to facilitate the reporting of sensitive information to law enforcement including information regarding student safety, violence, drug use, or students who may be in need of any type of assistance. This information may be shared with school officials such as principals, school counselors, and other administrative personnel. It is NOT an emergency hotline. If you are reporting an event that could immediately affect your school community, please call 911.

The Quaker Valley School District encourages students to report information about any non-urgent illegal activity such as vandalism, theft, the sale of drugs or information about crimes that are being planned. Students who discover information on social networking sites like Snap Chat, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube and confidentially text a tip could help prevent a tragedy. For urgent matters or emergency situations, please call 911 and speak to a trained dispatcher.
For information on the Text-A-Tip hotline, contact Officer Aaron Vanatta at 412-749-6019 or vanattaa@qvsd.org.

If you prefer to leave a voice message instead of texting, please call 412-749-6019.
