School Breakfast Program

This year, a complete breakfast meal is free for all students. An a la carte breakfast is $1.75. A breakfast meal includes entree, choice of two fruits or choice of one fruit and one 100% 4 oz fruit juice, and choice of milk. Students must take three of the four food groups offered and must take at least one fruit choice per School Breakfast Program regulations. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and research shows that students that eat a well balanced breakfast are more likely to:

  • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
  • Concentrate better
  • Are more alert and retain more of what they learn
  • Maintain a healthy body weight
  • Drink more milk and eat more fruit daily

Breakfast is available in all school buildings each morning during the following times:

Edgeworth: 8:40-9:00 am
Osborne: 8:40-9:00 am
Middle School: 7:30-7:55 am
High School: 7:30-9:30 am

National School Lunch Program

This year a lunch meal will cost $3.35. Premium meals are available at the Middle School & High School for $4.10. A premium meal is more labor-intensive to prepare. If students do not take a complete meal, they will be charged a la carte pricing. Adult lunches are $4.90.

All Quaker Valley students will have the accessibility to order Breakfast and Lunch for every instructional day.  The meals provided will continue to follow all of the nutritional guidelines, including all five food groups (milk, fruits, vegetable, meat, grains).

At all schools, there is a hot meal lunch choice plus the "Daily Alternative" meals. In addition to the advertised lunch, there is a variety of a la carte items from which to choose for purchase. *Please Note: Due to national and regional supply shortages, the menu is subject to change.*
