Karyn Dobda

Karyn DobdaMrs. Karyn Dobda serves as Quaker Valley’s Director of Innovation and Strategic Initiatives.  This position oversees the District’s comprehensive planning process, along with numerous initiatives related to educational technology.

Prior to coming to Quaker Valley, Mrs. Dobda served as the Coordinator of Online Learning and Professional Development with the North Allegheny School District, and as a mathematics teacher with both the North Allegheny and Hopewell Area School Districts.  Mrs. Dobda holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in mathematics from Youngstown State University, and a master's of educational administration from California University of Pennsylvania.  Mrs. Dobda is also an adjunct professor with Point Park University in the Department of Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Technology Department.

Mrs. Dobda has presented at several regional, state, and national conferences on the topics of professional learning, innovation, and educational technology.  She maintains her professional affiliation with several organizations including the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE), PA Association for Educational Communication and Technology (PAECT), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), and Consortium for School Networking (CoSN).
