Library & Makerspace Open House: May 24 from 6-8 PM
Come visit the Quaker Valley Middle School Library and Makerspace where you can work on a number of STEAM activities like knitting, 3D printing, stop motion animation, vinyl cutting, and more! Students and families from the area are welcome to come and make something awesome! Students, parents, and families from around the area are welcome to the Quaker Valley Middle School Library and Makerspace. Visitors will be welcome to test out our recording booth, work with circuits, knit, use green screens, or make a stop motion animation video. Also on display will be our 3D printer and vinyl cutter; there may be opportunities to use these pieces; however, that will be available on a first come, first serve basis. At 7:00, a design challenge for families will be held.

QVSD Seeking Parental Feedback Regarding School Start Time
Over the past few years, several studies have been published on the benefits of ensuring adequate sleep for middle and high school students. To that end, the district is considering a small pilot study of moving the start times for our schools to be 15-minutes later for the 2017-18 School Year. read more
Kiva 5K Sponsors Needed
Quaker Valley Middle School is looking for sponsors for the third annual Kiva 5K on Friday, June 2. Kiva is a non-profit organization that allows people to lend money to low-income/underserved entrepreneurs and students in over 70 countries. In the past two years, QVMS has raised more than $10,000 to donate to Kiva. Organizers are looking for sponsors to donate money, gift basket items, and student participants. Click here to learn more. QV Ink Newspaper Now Online
After years of being a print publication, QV Ink, Quaker Valley Middle School's student newspaper, is now online at www.qvink.org. With the new digital medium, QV Ink will be able to report on a wider variety of stories, as the paper can publish them in a more timely manner. QV Ink is currently looking for writers, photographers, and story ideas. The group meets on Mondays after school from 3-4 p.m. Any middle school student can join!
