Landscape Architectural Design Volunteer Needed
We are looking for help from anyone in our Quaker Valley community who has experience in the landscape architectural design process and would be willing to volunteer their services working with a small team of teachers and students. For more information, please contact Maribeth Hayward (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Brian Wolovich (email@example.com) at the Middle School.
Pictures in Practice from The Principal's Office
Pictures in Practice is a slideshow Dr. Mooney and Ms. McGuirk put together each month. The slideshow captures what is taking place in classrooms at QVMS. It helps answer the question, "What does a Culture of Thinking look like at Quaker Valley Middle School?" These snapshots give people a glimpse into the thinking students engage in each and every day. Pictures in Practice Slideshow.

Makerspace Donations Needed
The QVMS Makerspace is looking for donations. The Makerspace currently is looking for electronic and analogue tabletop games that can be examined and deconstructed during classes. We could use anything from an old Operation board game to tabletop hockey, foosball, and small pinball games. These games will be a part of an activity in which students examine how independent components work together to create a complex system; as such, they will be deconstructed by students, looking at individual parts, their purposes, and how they create complexity together.
