Are you interested in talking to QVMS students about your career? Quaker Valley Middle School is launching Work & Lunch, a lunchtime program to expose QVMS students to a variety of careers. Students are invited to Work & Lunch sessions based on their career interests. Speakers come during 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunches on selected Fridays to share information about their career with students. Approximately 20 students will be invited to attend each session. During the Work & Lunch sessions, speakers are asked to share how they became interested in their chosen career, information about education and training they needed, and what a typical day looks like in their career. Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions about the career to learn more information. Speakers are encouraged to bring props, actual items they use in their job, and/or promotional items with their company’s logo. We are planning to host one Work & Lunch session a month. If you are interested in signing up to be a Work & Lunch Speaker, please fill out this form

Kiva 5K Shirt Sponsors Needed
This spring, Quaker Valley Middle School is holding its 4th annual Kiva 5K in support of the Kiva organization. We are asking for people and businesses to sponsor our race shirts. Your sponsorship is very important because the race shirt given to the students is not included in the $25 entry fee. The $25 fee goes directly to the beneficiaries of the Kiva loans. The shirts are very popular and your name will be worn by over 300 students and staff for years to come. Thank you for your time and consideration. John Doucette, Quaker Valley Middle School
