¡AVENTURAS I!  COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

In fourth grade, students have Spanish lessons two out of every 6 days for 45 minutes.

In Grade-Four Spanish, students will develop communicative competency by functioning in a variety of meaningful contexts/contents with a reasonable degree of accuracy.  Major emphasis will be placed on oral communication, geography, and culture (perspectives, practices, and products of a target country.)  Lessons will include the map, flag, currency, history, music, dance, folktales, art, holidays, and traditional crafts of each country/region studied. In addition, students will acquire vocabulary and skills of the Spanish language that relates to various aspects of the target culture/region.
