District Plans & Emergency ResponsesThe Quaker Valley School District Safety Committee meets
regularly with district and community representatives to plan for emergency
situations. An intricate part of the plan is to educate the students, families
and staff on preparedness issues. This site will provide you with information
you can use to get your family ready for emergency situations. Please check back here often, as preparedness information
will be updated.
QVSD Safety Committee
The role of the Safety Committee is
to review all aspects of safety throughout the school district and to make
recommendations to the administration and facilitate and/or communicate safety
related information to district constituents. The Safety Committee is comprised
of the safety committee chairperson, the district school resource officer,
district human resources manager, district communications manager and a minimum
of one representative from each building as well as a representative from each
of the following groups: teaching staff, administration, Unit 1, Unit 2,
transportation and school nurses.
The Safety Committee meets monthly with additional meetings scheduled as needed.
