Loss Support is a group offered to students who have to deal with the death of a loved one.

S.O.S. (Stressed Out Students)
In today’s fast-paced, pressured world, more kids than ever are stressed out.

F.I.S.H. Group (Families in Separate Homes)
This group is for any student whose family has experienced a separation or divorce.

Classroom Survival Skills
Learn to be organized and become a better student. The learning of organizational and study skills is the foundation for academic success.

Friendship Group
This group teaches you how to make and keep friends and solve friendship problems.

Anger Management
Anger is a problem for many children. In fact, the inability to control anger is one of the most common reasons that children are referred for counseling.

Loss Support

Loss Support is a group offered to students who have to deal with the death of a loved one.
Children will have the opportunity to share their feelings, memories and experiences in a safe and caring environment.
Students will learn about the grief process and see that what they are experiencing may be common to others in the same situation.
Children will learn ways to remember their loved ones and find that healing is possible.

In today's fast-paced, pressured world, more kids than ever are stressed out. This group will help kids understand what stress is all about, what causes it, signs of stress, feelings associated with stress, and stress relief.

This group is for fourth and fifth graders.

F.I.S.H. Group (Families in Separate Homes)

This group is about families and some of the changes they can go through. Separation, divorce and remarriage are a few of the difficult transitions families may experience. Such events can be confusing to both children and adults. This group is to help children talk about the thoughts and feelings associated with these changes.
This group is for all ages and is in session from late November through December.

Classroom Survival Skills


Classroom Survival Skills, will focus on the following topics: listening, asking for help, bringing materials to class, following instructions, completing assignments, and ignoring distractions for younger children. Listening, Organization and Homework Skills for the third, fourth and fifth graders.

Friendship Group

We all want people to like us. Having good friends makes life at school and home more fun. For some kids, it's not easy to make friends. Friendship Group can help. The groups will meet once a week during school time for 5-6 sessions. The following topics will be discussed: ways to be a friend; ways not to be a friend; joining in, getting turned down, becoming a good sport; choosing a good friend, friendship triangles and how to deal with friendship problems.

Anger Management

Angry behavior can take many forms, from sarcasm and angry looks to physical aggression and verbal abuse. For most children with problems in anger control, anger is the dominant emotion in their lives. they are typically negative, disrespectful to adults, and often depressed.
This group is designed to teach children a variety of ways to change their attitude, feelings, and behaviors through games. Each game is designed to help children with a specific skill that can help them control their anger. The groups will meet once a week during school time for 5-6 sessions.
