Over the past few years, several studies have been published on the benefits of ensuring adequate sleep for middle and high school students. To that end, the district is considering a small pilot study of moving the start times for our schools to be 15-minutes later for the 2017-18 School Year. This would move the high school and middle school start to 8:00 a.m. and the elementary schools to 8:55 a.m. Subsequently, school end times would also move 15-minutes later. Though not exact, it can be presumed that bus times would also move approximately 15 minutes. Given this scenario, we would like to collect parent feedback on this proposition.
