Head Coach: Scott Smith | WPSLA | PIAA
Middle School Girls Lacrosse is a Club run sport competing in the Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association (WPSLA). WPSLA now uses birth year/range instead of grade level to determine team composition. WPSLA has two playing options at the U15 level: U15-FC and U15-MOD, and one at U13. For the most part, the Quaker Valley versions are as follows: U15 FC team is comprised of mostly 8th graders with a couple of exceptions due to birthdate and skill. The U15 MOD team is a combination of 7th and 8th graders, or it could be primarily 7th graders if a full checking game is also being played. The U13 team is all 7th graders.
U15-FC: At this level, ALL players must explicitly meet the U15 age requirements and may NOT be players 'playing up' from the U13 bracket. At this level, FULL CHECKING will be played and will be refereed by two USL certified refs, one of which holds a local rating or higher.
U15-MOD: At this level, players will use the MODIFIED CHECKING RULES. Players that fall into the U13 age requirements may play on this team (depending on their playing abilities and coaches discretion).
Use the grid below to determine teams:
Birth Date Age Bracket 2013-2014
Born on or after 9/1/1998 U15
Born on or after 9/1/2000 U13
Born on or after 9/1/2002 U11
Born on or after 9/1/2004 U9

Girls' Lacrosse Registration 2014
The 2014 Quaker Valley Middle School Girls Lacrosse season is about to begin. Below is the 2014 Lacrosse Registration packet containing important information and forms that need to be completed and returned by Friday, Feb 10 to: Scott Smith 610 Poia Road, Sewickley 15143. Checks should be made payable to QVMS Girls Lacrosse. We plan to field one to two teams of seventh and eighth graders. The membership fee for the season is $225.00. As a club sport we pay all transportation, referees, ambulance fees, various dues, tournament fees, equipment, uniforms and end of season activities. Membership fee does not include a lacrosse stick, a mouth guard, goggles or footwear. We do not want any enthusiastic player to be excluded because of fees, so underwriting is available for both fees and equipment on the basis of need. Additionally, membership to US Lacrosse is required to play on the team. This membership includes player liability insurance, issues of the US Lacrosse Magazine and discounts on items available through US Lacrosse. Since ALL team players are Youth players, your membership fee is $25. Please visit www.uslacrosse.org to initiate or renew your daughter’s membership online by completing the US Lacrosse application. Please join before completing the QV forms so you can provide your membership number on the forms. Any questions please contact Scott Smith at GL985@msn.com. LAX Registration Form
