Helping Your Child with Math Parent Workshop - January 25 at Edgeworth
You're invited to a parent workshop: How to help your child with math. Join Dr. Barb Mellett on Wednesday, January 25 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the Edgeworth Elementary School LGI room. Dr. Mellett will help parents better equip themselves to assist students with math and math homework. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 20. Child care will be provided.
Blood Drive - January 26 from 8AM-1PM
The National Honor Society will be holding a winter Blood Drive on Thursday January 26 from 8:00am to 1:00pm. If you are interested in donating blood, please contact the school nurse, Aimee Benedict, at email@example.com no later than January 20 to sign up for a time slot. In addition to saving lives by donating blood, you are helping a graduating senior earn a Central Blood Bank scholarship.
Ceramic Studio Open for Empty Bowls on Friday, Jan. 27 from 7-9PM
The High School will once again be hosting an Empty Bowls Event at our annual Showcase of Creativity on Saturday, February 25 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. We are opening the ceramics studio to the community on Friday, January 27 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. for a family event – allowing community members to make or decorate bowls to be donated for the Empty Bowls fundraiser. Quaker Valley Education Foundation Scholarships Available
The Trustees of the QUAKER VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION are offering as many as five $3000-$5000 scholarships (payable in four approximately equal annual installments) to QV graduates who are financially deserving, have a strong work ethic, have good grades, and will undertake a Math, Science or Engineering program in college. QVEA Offers Scholarships to Seniors - Application Due February 6
Each year, the Quaker Valley Education Association awards scholarships/financial support to graduating seniors. Multiple $1,000 scholarships/financial support are given through donations from QVEA members (teachers) and friends of education. Only online applications & essays will be accepted. The deadline to apply is February 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Students must use QV email for the application process. Showcase of Creativity - Saturday, February 25
Join QVHS to celebrate the 2nd Annual Showcase of Creativity from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Quaker Valley High School. This event showcases the thinking and creativity of the high school students. There will be events for the whole family: hands-on explorations, displays, and guests from the community. The Empty Bowls Event will be in the Cafeteria from 11:00–1:00. Come for lunch and support those in need in our own community.
