PA Governor's Schools for Excellence Application Due April 25
The PA Governor's Schools for Excellence are back! Full scholarship funding for the summer programs has been restored. The application for the School for Engineering and Technology at Lehigh University is due on April 25. The programs are available only to current juniors and both are highly competitive. Arena Class Scheduling for 2014-2015: April 28-May 2
Quaker Valley High School will again be using the college-style scheduling system known as “arena scheduling” to schedule classes for the 2014-2015 school year. Science Olympiad State Finals - May 2
Quaker Valley’s high school and middle school Science Olympiad teams are headed to Juniata College on May 2, 2014 to compete in the state finals after placing second and third, respectively, at the Southwestern Region competition. Best of luck to both teams. read more | map/directions
2014 Grand March and Prom - May 16
The 2014 Grand March and Prom will be held on Friday, May 16. The Grand March begins at 5:15 p.m. in the high school auditorium, followed by the Prom at 6:30 p.m. at Embassy Suites - Pittsburgh International Airport. The theme is "Party at Gatsby's." For all student and parent information, including dress codes, forms, deadlines, tickets, and prom queen nominations, please visit the Prom activity website.
AIU Apprenticeship Applications Due by May 23
Students can now apply for 2014-2015 Allegheny Intermediate Unit apprenticeships at apprenticeships.aiu3.net. Apprenticeships are enrichment programs from advertising to zoology and are open to any student in grades 9-11. Application takes place now for next school year. The complete list of available apprenticeships is online. A signed application (see Dr. Conlon for the required parent signature form), online recommendation (ask a teacher for this) and $50 application fee are due to the AIU by Friday, May 23.
