QVHS Showcase of Creativity - Saturday, February 25
Join QVHS to celebrate the 2nd Annual Showcase of Creativity from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Quaker Valley High School. This event showcases the thinking and creativity of the high school students. There will be events for the whole family: hands-on explorations, displays, and guests from the community. Quaker Valley Education Foundation Scholarships Available
The Trustees of the QUAKER VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION are offering as many as five $3000-$5000 scholarships (payable in four approximately equal annual installments) to QV graduates who are financially deserving, have a strong work ethic, have good grades, and will undertake a Math, Science or Engineering program in college. Quaker Valley High School proudly presents the musical The Sound of Plaid on March 23-25 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Doors will open nightly at 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be ordered in advance using the ticket order form below, or purchased at the door. Poetry Expo - April 28 at Sewickley Library
Off-Beat! is a literary magazine collaboration between QVHS (Bittersweet) and Sewickley Academy (Ephemera). A youth art and poetry expo will be hosted at the Sewickley Public Library on April 28, 2017 with Poetry Reading, Open Mic, live performances, art, games and activities.
Join the Marching Band for 17-18
Students interested in joining the Quaker Valley High School Marching Band: “The Pride of Quaker Valley” for the 2017-2018 season should make note that Band Camp 2017 will be held July 30-August 4. Without exception, students must be available for the entirety of Band Camp in order to be eligible for membership in the group. Registration will be open online at www.qvsdmusic.com from April 24-May 19. Musical Instruments Needed
Do you have an instrument you’re not using? The Quaker Valley Music Department can put it to good use! Quaker Valley will gratefully accept donations of used/unwanted band and orchestra instruments. Instruments will be accepted at any Quaker Valley school building. For more information, please email Mr. Neville at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a Heart Donation Drive
Have a Heart is a donation drive that benefits the Beaver County Humane Society. Sophomore, Caitlin O’Hara is collecting donations for her personal project. Please have a heart and join us to help out a good cause for these animals that are waiting to be adopted. A list of donations needed are posted in Sewickley at the following locations: Sewickley Chiropractic Center (409 Broad Street), Crazy Mocha (417 Walnut Street), Starbucks (425 Beaver Street), Explore Sewickley (418 Beaver Street), Three Dog Bakery (555 Beaver Street), and the Quaker Valley High School Main Office (625 Beaver Street). Please donate for dogs, cats, and bunnies in need of homes.
