Host Families Needed for German Exchange Program
We are currently looking for Quaker Valley families interested in hosting 21 students from Buxtehude, Germany from September 20 – October 8, 2017. This year marks the 40th anniversary of our exchange program, which is one of the oldest in the country! The responsibilities as a host family include providing the student a place to sleep, meals for the time spent at their home and some transportation to and/or from the high school for student field trips or activities. The German students are permitted to ride QV school busses to and from school as well as on field trips. Transportation / carpooling will only be necessary for special trips or activities that pick up or drop off students at the high school, and pick up or drop off at the airport when they arrive and depart. Students in the Global Scholars Program at the high school can receive credit for hosting a German student. Contact Mrs. Karst at the high school at email@example.com for questions or more information. Please support the Quaker Valley / Buxtehude German Exchange Program!
