Welcome to Quaker Valley Middle School
Our mission at the Quaker Valley Middle School is to work in partnership with parents and community to develop responsible citizens and independent learners, while promoting high expectations for each student. We believe that it is our responsibility to teach the students the importance of goal setting, work ethic, positive character traits, collaboration and creative thinking.
Quaker Valley Middle School is an exciting place for students to learn and educators to teach. We have a tremendous combination of excellent educators and outstanding students. We believe that middle school is a time for exploration and discovery. We serve as the bridge between elementary school and high school.
Our core academic curriculum is challenging. We have high expectations for each student. We have accelerated classes at all three grade levels. Our focus is on meeting the needs of students, one child at a time. The “fast-paced” classes provide differentiation for high-end learners, and we offer academic classes that meet the specific needs of all of our students. We are confident that we have extraordinary educators that will focus their energies on rigor, relevance, and relationships.
Our exploratory curriculum emphasizes the development of the whole child. We recognize our responsibility to provide opportunities for students to explore new concepts, create meaningful connections, and collaborate with other students and teachers to experience relevant learning. The middle school offers a variety of languages for students to explore, outstanding performing arts instruction, technology that includes a laptop computer for each student, and art classes that inspire students to create and design amazing projects. We feel strongly that we offer a full range of instruction that encourages students to fully develop interests and abilities.
The Quaker Valley School District is recognized for excellence. It is our intention at the middle school to be known as a truly “great” school. We have all the components in place to be considered a school of distinction. Middle school is a very exciting time in the life of an adolescent student. We fully intend to meet the needs of every student and prepare them for a successful life of learning.
