Holiday Tree Decorating in Glen Osborne - December 6
Kick off the holiday season by joining Glen Osborne Borough on December 6, 2014, at 12:45, for family fun to decorate the Glen Osborne Tree. Bring your family, friends, and an ornament, if you like. Meet in front of Osborne Elementary School. The Cochran Hose Company will help decorate, hot chocolate, cookies, and music are provided! See you, at Osborne Elementary, on the 6th. All are welcome!!
Osborne 5th Grade Winter Concert - December 10
The Osborne 5th grade winter concert takes place on Wednesday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Osborne gym.
Osborne Blast smoothies available at Salúd Juicery during December
Osborne gARTen Club students Ainsley Lumanog, Sydalia Wygant, Aleisha Ford, Stella Christensen, Ellie Sabo, and Mia Perel created the award-winning Osborne Blast smoothie with the help of Salúd Juicery co-owner Seth Zimmerman. All 5th grade gARTen Club members participated. Their creations were judged through a blind-taste-test by Mrs. Sopp. The ingredients include apple, banana, blueberry, strawberry, kale, spinach, and coconut water. The cost is $6.99 for the regular size and $4.99 for the petite. 10% of all sales will be donated to the gARTen Club. Salúd Juicery is located at 348 Beaver St. (in the Village). The hours are: Monday- Friday 7:30am-6pm, Saturday: 9am-5pm and Sunday: Closed. Running Club Now Underway
Mr. Noyes offers a Running Club to help students prepare for the Kids of Steel program and the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon on May 2, 2015. Running Club is held from November 17 until May 1 from 8:00-8:40 a.m. The schedule is as follows: Monday - Grade 5; Tuesday - Grade 4; Wednesday - Grade 3; Thursday - Grade 2; Friday- Grade K & 1. Parents should use the links below to register their child for the Kids of Steel Program and the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon, as well as to view the training guide for more information.

Osborne fifth graders Adam Boone, Anna Cohen, Grant Huddleston, Kadin Lynch, Ian Morrison, Owen Petronick, Taylor Retzlaff, and Wyatt Riker participated in the annual Calcu-Solve math competition on Friday, November 21 at Duquesne University. The competition included 9 rounds of very challenging math problems. Seven problems were solved individually, and two questions were answered as a team. Adam Boone was awarded Honorable Mention for a nearly perfect individual score among the 416 fifth and sixth grade students who attended. Way to go, Adam! view photos
Remake Learning Digital Corps Workshops
Quaker Valley Middle School is hosting eight Remake Learning Digital Corps sessions. The remaining workshops, open to all area students age 9 and up, will be offered from 3:45-5:15 p.m. on the following days: Tuesday, Dec. 2, & Mondays: Dec. 8, 15 and 22. read more
