Osborne OM Team in World Finals - May 22-25
Osborne's third grade Odyssey of the Mind team, coached by Mr. Jeff Christensen, is competing in the World Finals at Michigan State University in East Lansing from May 22-25. The team includes Isabella Bock, Lilly Capezzuto, Stella Christensen, Ilijana Hasak, Jhon Freddy Krebs, Owen Petronick and Taylor Retzlaff. Good luck!

Cheers for Ears Week: May 20-24
May is Better Hearing & Speech Month. Osborne is sponsoring a Cheers for Ears fundraiser to benefit the Hearing Center Auxillary at Children's Hospital. The cost is $0.50 per day to participate in each event. Students who contribute have the opportunity to win a free 8 oz. yogurt from Sincerely Yogurt. QV Relay for Life - June 1st at the High School Stadium
The 9th Annual Relay for Life event begins at noon on Saturday, June 1 at QV High School. Benefiting the American Cancer Society, the event features live music, crafts, Touch a Truck, Hamster Balls, games, a bounce house, a dunk tank and fireworks. Register/Donate | Schedule of Events
3rd Grade Instrument Tryouts - June 5th
3rd grade students wishing to start instruction on a band or string instrument in the Fall of 2013 should schedule a tryout time on June 5th in the band room. Students will be permitted to try one or two instruments of their choice to see which instrument they might like to play for next year in our 4th grade Instrumental Music Program. Parents should call the school office at 412-749-4003 to schedule a 15 minute tryout time for their child. Contact Mrs. Christine Burgh with specific questions at burghc@qvsd.org or 412-749-3639. 4th or 5th grade students interested in starting an instrument are also invited to schedule a tryout time.
Field Day Volunteers Needed
Osborne Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th. We are looking for volunteers to staff Field Day, along with donations for the volunteer luncheon. Please email Field Day coordinator Nicole Page for details.
