Fifth Grade Yearbook Message Orders Due By March 14
Surprise your 5th grader with a memorable photo and message in the 2013-14 yearbook. Space is limited to a 1/4-page tribute per student for $12. Submit text, digital photos and any questions to Stephanie Ross-Tomey at email@example.com. Photo files should be: TIFF, GIF, RAW or JPEG, and if a digital photo is not available, it can be scanned. Send check to school payable to HSA and include the student's name on the memo line. Deadline is Friday, March 14.
Donate Spring Sports Clothing & Equipment
Donations of clean, gently used sports clothing and equipment are now being accepted in the school lobby. All sizes and sports are needed. Everything will be sorted, priced and ready for purchase in time for the spring sport season. The sale will be on March 22 from 9 a.m.–noon at Osborne Elementary. Why buy new when you can buy new-to-you? All proceeds benefit the Osborne Elementary School garden which benefits the entire community!
Osborne OM Teams in State Finals
Congratulations to the following Osborne Odyssey of the Mind teams: Team Stanley and Team Christensen. They will compete later in March in the State Championship. Way to go!
Hi Tech Learning Spring & Summer Classes

Osborne 3rd Grade Thanks Quaker Valley Rotary Club
The Osborne third grade would like to thank the Quaker Valley Rotary Club for their generous donation of dictionaries to the third grade students. Osborne is very grateful for the kindness and support.
Spelling Bee Results
On February 7th, Osborne Elementary’s fourth and fifth grade students competed in the Scripps National Spelling Bee 2014 school level competition. Osborne’s School Champion is fifth grader Aeddon Chapman. Aeddon won in the 24th round by correctly spelling the word sapphire. He went head to head with Owen Petronick for 16 rounds until he secured the win, and will now advance to the Western PA Spelling Bee on March 22. view photos
Osborne Running Club
Mr. Noyes, physical education teacher, offers a morning running club to helps students prepare for the Kids of STEEL and Kids Marathon. It is open enrollment, so students can attend on their scheduled meeting day from 8:00-8:40 AM. The schedule is as follows:
Monday: K/1st; Tuesday: 2nd; Wednesday: 3rd; Thurday: 4th; Friday: 5th
