Child's Play Touring Theatre - May 9
Child’s Play Touring Theatre is coming to Osborne Elementary on May 9, 2017. The HSA is sponsoring this assembly again in hopes that the Child’s Play performances can spark creative writing for students, as well as open doors to drama activities. Child’s Play Touring Theatre is recognized as the premiere professional children’s theatre dedicated exclusively to performing stories and poems written by children. Since 1978, Child’s Play has reached an audience of over 4 million children and adults across 40 states from Alaska to Florida. Using characters, narration and dialogue created by student authors, the four actors of Child’s Play add songs, mime, music, sound effects, props and costumes to fashion a complete show. Child’s Play will perform a 55 minute show at Osborne Elementary that will include 1 to 4 “World Premiere” pieces written by students in our school and a few Child’s Play repertory pieces. There will also be a special awards presentation in the middle of the show.
