Lab Ratz begins January 5 - register now
Lab Ratz Science Club is coming to Osborne Elementary. This five-week session will be offered after school from 3:45-4:45 p.m. every Tuesday, January 5 until February 2, 2016. Students will explore and discover various science principles through a fun and engaging experience. more information / registration form

EDTALK – IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN… December 3 at Edgeworth
The Edgeworth PTA and Osborne HSA invite all QV Parents, friends, and community members to an inaugural EdTalk. This event will be on Thursday, December 3 at Edgeworth Elementary School from 6:30-8:00. Three guests will each have 20 minutes to present their chosen topic. A 30-minute coffee where audience members will have the opportunity to share and discuss their thoughts and the speakers will be available if people have questions will follow this hour. We are happy to announce the following speakers:
-Dr. Heidi Ondek, QVSD Superintendent
Topic: Developing a Culture of Thinking
-Dr. Sara Tambucci, Director, Arts Education Collaborative
Topic: The Advantages of Arts integration across Curriculum
-Dr. Elizabeth Miller, Chief, Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine
Topic: Adolescent Brain Development

Osborne Running Club Underway
The Osborne Running to help kids prepare for the Kids of Steel Program and Kids Marathon 2016 is now underway. For the schedule, parent letter, and registration links, visit the Running Club website.

Osborne 5th Grade Winter Concert - December 10
Osborne's 5th Grade Band, Orchestra & Chorus Winter Concert takes place on December 10th at 7:00 PM in the Osborne gymnasium. All are invited to attend.

Thank you!
Osborne students and staff raised $441 and we received a special match donation to bring our new grand total to $882 for Boulder Crest Retreat. The donation will allow wounded warriors to participate in a combat therapy program at Boulder Crest. Thank you for your generosity!

Little Quakers Basketball Skills Clinic
Quaker Valley High School Boys Basketball Coach Mike Mastroianni and the 2015-16 Quaker Valley boys basketball team will once again sponsor the “Little Quakers Basketball Skills Clinic." The clinics will take place on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at the Quaker Valley High School gymnasium. The dates are December 12-19, 2015 and January 2-9, 2016. Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth Opportunity
The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) is an organization which offers summer programs and online courses for students who meet certain pre-set criteria. Quaker Valley students in grades 2-8 who have shown academic excellence have the opportunity to participate in this program if qualified using the measures outlined at http://cty.jhu.edu/talent/about/who.html.
