Two QVHS Seniors Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Two Quaker Valley High School seniors have been named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. Congratulations to David Lipton and John Vorberger, who qualified with PSAT scores from their junior year.

More than 1.6 million high school juniors entered the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program, with less than one percent of these students advancing to the Semifinals. In all, 16,000 students across the U.S. are named Semifinalists.

To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, the Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements including a scholarship application with details about school and community activities, leadership abilities, employment, honors and awards received.

Finalists will be announced in February. From that pool, scholarship winners will be selected.

Congratulations to David & John!
